Some good hot wings are my go-to comfort food. Not necessarily the super spicy ones, though I do like those. I prefer a bit of tang and a bit of sweetness. That's real comfort for me.
Chicken and dumplings are my ultimate comfort food. They need to be loaded with butter and salt, served hot, and have just enough broth to turn the dumplings into steaming, melty, buttery goodness. It’s like getting a warm hug from mom in a bowl.
My mom's biscuits and gravy are the ultimate comfort food for me. She makes them with white sausage gravy, not the brown kind. I refuse to eat it in restaurants because they never get it right, but my mom's version is absolute heaven.
Ramen is a favorite of mine. Not the cup or brick kind, but a hot bowl from a ramen house with a nice hunk of pork in it, and a glass of melon soda or Calpis to wash it down.
Hot Cheetos and chips are my ultimate weakness. They’re so tempting, but I really need to cut back on the Hot Cheetos. As I’m getting older, my body just can’t handle them like it used to.
