Official Rachael Lillis, Voice Actor For Pokémon's Misty And Jessie, Has Passed Away

Rachael Lillis, a voice actor known for her extensive work on the Pokémon anime franchise, sadly passed away on 10th August 2024 at the age of 55.

This news comes via fellow voice actor Veronica Taylor (Ash Ketchum), who shared an announcement on social media, calling Lillis "an extraordinary talent" and "a bright light".

Lillis played a number of roles during her tenure with the Pokémon anime, including several of the creatures themselves, but is perhaps best known for her work in bringing Misty and Jessie to life.

Such a shame, RIP to her.

Jesse and even James voices actors were always a great pair in the original series. I think they made Team Rocket so good to watch and I was gutted when they changed them later on, I remember James being first and he didn’t sound the same next to her with the change
