Earlier today, Krafton Inc. announced that they have acquired Tango Gameworks from Microsoft for an undisclosed sum that included the Hi-Fi Rush franchise. For those hoping that this acquisition means we’ll get to see The Evil Within 3 from Tango, well, that’s not happening — at least not from the studio.
We reached out to Krafton whether this acquisition meant that Krafton now owns the rights to The Evil Within, Ghostwire Tokyo franchises, and a PR rep confirmed it’s only Hi-Fi Rush stating, “It does not, KRAFTON is acquiring only the HI-FI RUSH IP and the development staff of Tango Gameworks.”
