Is Xbox Elite Controller Worth it For Long Term?

I need something for long term and should be comfortable to play. Heard alot of praise for Elite. How is it?

its absolutely amazing. battery lasts for WEEKS, it feels great in your hands, totally customizable, and the paddles make movement in games so much more seamless. you really, genuinely, get what you pay for. i will never go back to normal controllers.

I had a series 1 elite and loved it. Lasted 4-5 years before the sticks wore smooth and I can’t find replacements.

Tried the series 2 and gave up after having to return 3 of them due to unresponsive face buttons. Hoping for a series 3 at some point with better QA

I have a pile of disassembled elite 2 because their the least reliable controller I’ve ever used in my life which sucks because thier amazing controllers

If you are used to the regular controller let’s say a long time it’s going to be difficult to transition to the elite controller. I tried it for like a week of full use after which I sent it back. I do racing games and gta with controller on pc. For shooting I use mouse on gta. I switch.

Honestly, from someone who got an Elite as a warrant replacement for my original controller? No, I would never have bought one if I hadn't recieved one for "free".

It feels less plastic than the original, sure, but I've had even more issues with buttons getting stuck/not registering etc. on this one than my original, and all the extra paddles and the mode button does very little for me personally; plus I miss the screenshot button.

My bumper broke avec a year and these fuckers at microsoft won’t replace it. It’s the ironic mix of high quality but breaks quickly.

I wouldn’t recommend the series II. They’re prone to breaking quite quickly. I opted for a scuff and it’s lasted me years
