Best Video Game series to Marathon through?

I took a vacation from work and wanted to dive into a video game franchise that is fun to marathon through; playing all three games of the trilogy back to back just hits way differently. You can really appreciate the upgrade of each game and adventure as whole.

ITT: Great Video Game Series To Marathon Through In Free Time??

I'd like to recommend my favorite action games trilogy of all time.

It's not heavy om the story but the action this trilogy provides is outstanding and only matched b the likes of Devil may Cry

The Silent Hill trilogy is fantastic. The first game, my all-time favorite, is still eerie with its vintage look, like a haunted VHS. Silent Hill 2 is a cult classic and considered one of the best horror games ever. I haven’t played Silent Hill 3 yet, but it’s said to be just as good. Unfortunately, the later games didn’t capture the series’ original charm.

The legend of the Heroes/Trails/Kiseki series, starting with Trails in the Sky FC, is worth noting. There are currently 9 released games, with 2 more on the way. Each game can easily take between 70 to 120 hours, depending on your completionist tendencies. The lore is consistent throughout the series, and there are many recurring characters, so starting with the first game is the best approach.

If you’re into racing games, give the entire Gran Turismo series a try (except Sport, unless you’re into online racing). Each game is packed with so much content that you could easily spend hundreds or even thousands of hours playing them.

I would recommend Devil May Cry. Peak Gameplay and characters. 1 and 2 havent aged that well but 3-5 are just amazing.
+ the story really hooks when youa re playing in order all the way to the final confrontation of 5.

Its amazing

The Mass Effect Trilogy is a must-play. Be sure to carry your saves over from game to game for the full experience.

Uncharted has hands down one of my favorite marathons of all time.. Going fro the origin and clumsy drake to adult veteran drake was cinema.

+ seeing the evolution of graphics and gameplay first hand was amazing. You can see the upgrade in each game.
Fantastic series

May I introduce you to the RCU

Alan Wake 2 is the newest release from Remedy. If you want to dive into the whole connected universe, there are four games to check out. It starts with Alan Wake, followed by Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, then Quantum Break, Control, and finally Alan Wake 2. This interconnected world is arguably even better than the MCU, with fantastic storylines, gameplay, and plenty of fun references.

Sam Lake is definitely the GOAT.

The Metal Gear Solid series is a must-play.

Yes, it will take a while, the MGS universe can be quite confusing, and the cutscenes can get pretty lengthy.

But you'll be rewarded with fantastic dialogue and engaging gameplay.

The Mass Effect Trilogy is worth playing despite the ending of ME3; it’s a very solid and enjoyable series.

Alternatively, you could try the original Baldur's Gate Trilogy modded to run on the BG2 engine, which makes it possible to play all three games in a unified experience.
