A new patent by Microsoft strives to introduce DualSense-like haptic feedback to Xbox controllers in the future.

"The concepts [Describe] a haptic response of a device by incorporating haptic subcomponents into a moving or flexible mechanical architecture of the device that allows for the haptic motor to move relative to a housing of the device."
These haptic motors can move inside the controllers instead of staying fixed in a single place to produce more organic vibrations. Additionally, the haptic motors can be tuned in real-time by the players using tuners for further optimization.

I got both an Elite 2 and a Dualsense Edge. I love the Elite 2's ergonomics but honestly, if a game offers haptic feedback, I gotta go with the Edge. It's got a mic and everything as well, it genuinely always amazes me as to how Sony managed to put so much into it.

You have to give Sony props this gen with the Duel Sense, it offers a lot in terms of how its used within games if done right (like Astro Bot) while not feeling as "gimmick like", if you don't like it then you can usually turn it off.

Haptics are cool, don’t get me wrong but I still prefer my Xbox controller over my ps5 controller. I even found Xbox style third party controllers to use on my ps5, I hate the PlayStation controller but that’s just my opinion
