Xbox has now confirmed that it owns
20 video game franchises that have made over a billion in lifetime sales and microtransactions across various entries. Some of these IPs are playing in the billions,
as Call of Duty alone has generated
a hefty $31 billion in lifetime revenue. These numbers are only continuing to grow.
For those not in the know,
Xbox owned 13 gaming IPs last year that made over $1 billion in lifetime revenue respectively—and this was after the Activision deal was completed. The figure has now grown by seven alone since 2023.
