WWE's 'big four' PLE Summer Slam just concluded a couple of days ago, and since tonight's RAW might give us the next leeway into the storylines, thought I'd make this one-stop discussion thread to discuss reactions to the event itself this past weekend as well as get to know everyone's thoughts on the matches!

A solid card of matches, tho I think Hunter said in the press conference that this was the last time Summer Slam was 1 night only right? if so I'm glad they re acknowledging this as the same hype as a summer wrestlemania

I was slightly annoyed that the Wyattsicks werent gonna make their debut match here but instead on raw but that's fine ig, a solid PLE, cant wait 2 night cards from next year! gonna be insane

There Was So Many Great Builds Leading into It& a stacked card but still got to finish that build off at the event itself & they all did it so well

Decided t owatch the PLE replay with my dad yesterday, was pretty good, I haven't been up to date much with wrestling but could easily see why people loved this show so much with all the title change and performances

Hunter could at least introduce a midcard title for the women wrestlers like Shawn did on NXT cmon man

Man I hate what they did to my girl Bayley!
I don't blame her at all but her booking as champion was soo weak, Im happy for Nia tho, she improved a bit and wants to work with her partners inside the ring perfectly

This is the only things I didn't like so far in the HHH era, well that and Hunter supposedly releasing Bobby Lashley and not bringing back the Hurt Business smh
 
It delivered above and beyond.
I was pleasantly surprised but my minor complaint was that Drew v Punk should ve been slightly longer, but it that wasn't so otherwise Punk would ve fainted lol

gonna be funny asf with him vs Carlito in a promo exchange
 
Overall yes, it was mostly a banger.
Had to be a record for title changes at a PPV because it felt like a reset overall with all the title changes and what not aside from Liv and Cody
 
This will go down in history as one of the greatest summer slam of all time
We re really lucky to ve witnessed one of the greatest WrestleMania of all time and one of the greatest summer slam in the same year 2024

Triple H knew what he was doing with the Ref cam being the attraction for the opening match and being used in the best moment possible
