What's Your Game of the Year 2024?

Kutamaru

Paragon
For me its Astro Bot. The game is just a joy to play. It made me so happy playing it at every moment that I often forgot real life worries. Astro bot is what all games should strive to be. Enough with sad games bring more happy games

I played 13 Sentinels for the first time this year, and I loved the experience of piecing that plot together and getting to know and love the characters. My GOTY.

God of War Ragnarok on PC. As far as massive AAA story games go, it's easily one of the best ones I've ever played. The writing, dialog, and performances are top notch. The graphics are so good it had me forgetting I was playing a game. The combat is also solid, even if it isn't breaking any new ground. I'm so glad we finally got this one on PC, it was absolutely worth the wait.

Baldur's Gate 3
The extended endings and the addition of mods for consoles have breathed new life into a game I hadn't even done with yet.
It was my most played game last year, will easily be this year and I wouldn't be surprised if it is next year too.

I just got Hades on sale for PS5 and am playing it for the first time. Can’t believe I slept on this game for 4 years lol I’ve only played about 10 hours so far but I can tell it’s going to be one of my favorite games of all time. Every aspect respects the players time and the art style, gameplay, music, progression hooks, and narrative design and writing are all incredible.

Personally, its 7 Rebirth. Loved every second, minigames and all. Love what their doing with the story and i think the combat is some of the best Square has ever done. Not a Turn based purist but still an OG fan.

Unique year where the best game i've played this year is also from this year which is Black Myth : Wukong, and Nine Sols right behind it.

Tho I did play something really unique that would probably my goty if not for those two which is Rain World.
