What's your favorite game from the 2000s era?

As a kid of the 2000s, I was very proud to have grown up in an era where I could jam to Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit with my friends and play some COD as a teenager without my parents being worried about my mental wellness lmao
What game do you love from that era specifically because I'm pretty sure there's a lot of 2000s kids here like myself who have an adoration to games from that time

STARTED REPLAYING THIS AGAIN AND HAD MY LINKIN PARK AND DISTURBED PLAYLIST ON SPOTIFY PLAY WITH A BOTTLE OF MOUNTAIN DEW
The best 2000s game man!!
Core memory unlocked, my dad used to help me install this kid so much, we tried like 20 times to n oavail because the game kept freezing on my computer at the loading screen whenever I tried launching career mode, but man when it worked
I was the happiest kid in the world porbably lol

Well this is easy for me because its defo Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, especially playing LAN lobbies on a few occasions with my college buddies
God that was the best time of my life, the 2000s was golden overall for games

My mom was pretty against them lmao but my dad and I used to play th OG God of War games, and later when the PSP launched my dad got Ghost of Sparta as a hidden gift for my birthday!! To me that was the peak time of gaming in the 2000s, pure hardcore fun

Unfortunately was only able to start playing during the 2010s era but played a lot of the 2000s era games then too like Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 where I spent a lot of time with my brother and Knights of the Old Republic which my dad mostly helped me with since I couldn't for the life of me understand its gameplay haha :p

The whole Prince of Persia games took alot of my time back then, those are my favorite games of that time for sure

As a girl with 3 brothers, I got used to their gory games so much lol; we used to take turns and play Mortal combat Shaolin Monks and MK Armageddon; those games were ridiculously fun, I still to this day tell the games to my friends and they cant believe I used to like this stuff xd

Was fortunate to have played Half life 1 and 2 when I built my first gaming PC in 2006, loved it so much and despite loving the Black Mesa remake of 1, I still prefer playing the OG instead for their atmosphere and vibe!

Resident Evil 4 kept me awake for several nights as a kid, was equally terrified but also in awe of such a spectacular game and to play several times till my PS2 disc of it got scratches

I was a Nintendo Girl growing up so has to be Metroid Prime and have a lot of memories of it from fighting with my lil brother to play it and also smash bros melee too, the GameCube was just my safe place fr

I know Skyrim isn't from the 2000s. But it is definitely the best game of the 2010s for me if it counts for anything

Glad u mentioned Linkin Park becauseee...

The best 2000s game man!!

aaaaa I can just hear Styles of Beyond - Nine Thou playing man
The adrenaline rush this game gave me after playing it everyday during my late middle school!
Great choice my man, hope u enjoy ur replay!

GTA Sanandreas, to me that game personifies the 2000s
CJ's journey throughout Sanandreas and even when I played the game again on my PS4 via the PS2 port, the world of SA STILL felt huge just when I was a kid
Probably because I played this game so much during my whole life constantly

My pfp makes itm obvious but easily Kingdom Hearts 2, well that and BBS too and KH1
These three games mad eup my childhood so much man, I was grateful to have witnessed Soras journey as a kid, got to appreciate the games even more growing up and having bought the remaster collection on my PS4 AND Steam

GTA Vice City was goated but honestly being a golden era Ubi fanboy, I loved Assassins Creed 1 and Bloodlines on my PSP
Vice City was good but GTA 3 was a sleeper I feel like, made up my whole childhood, I know all 3 3d era GTA games did that for people but I feel like 3 really captured the Noir vibe before GTA 4 did
