What Time Period Would You Like To Travel To

I was looking up famous historial periods the other day and hoesntly it made me think how we are living in possibly the most mundane and boring time period in all of history. Everything is so autonatic and robotic we might as well be robots ourselves. Couple with all the doom scrolling and tiktok brainrot.

Famous periods like the Mughal, Renaissance, Roman Empire, and Vikings era feel a lot more exciting even though the concept of war may not be very appealing to a lot. So if there was a time period you would like to travel to which one would it be?

I’ve always wanted to witness the very beginning of biological life—seeing the first self-replicating molecule and then the formation of the first complete cell. That kind of stuff really blows my mind.

I can think of a thousand answers, but the one that intrigues me most right now is to travel as an early explorer to the New World. I’d love to hunt and trap my way across America and see what it looked like before it was heavily altered. Just imagine how stunning Ohio and Kentucky would have been with old-growth forests and pristine waters.

Late Cretaceous for the dinosaurs, and also sometime thousands of years ago. I’d love to see North America before humanity changed it so drastically.

The Wild West—enjoying drinking and gambling in saloons and visiting brothels, all without a hint of guilt.

The year 12,000. If they’re friendly, it could be fascinating. Plus, they’d probably go wild over a living relic from the "stupid ages."

The year 3000. We know almost everything that has happened in the past, but nothing about the future.

I’d time travel to Woodstock and hang out with the hippies. It’s the perfect spot: a historic event where you get to experience a peaceful, happy moment in history. And if you accidentally drop a hint about the future? They’ll be too high to care.

California, from 1955 to 1980. It was paradise—after the world wars and the invention of flush toilets, but before it became overcrowded and the place started to decline.

Make use of your focus settings! My sleep focus activates at 9:30 PM, and I also have a ‘personal time’ setting that manages my notifications. By controlling how and when I’m reminded that my phone exists, I’ve significantly reduced my doomscrolling. It’s been a huge help.

I think partying in 1920s Berlin would be a blast, but I wouldn’t want to live there. I’d love a one-week vacation in the past—going to clubs, dressing up in wild outfits, and getting drunk with a bunch of eccentric people. I’d probably make out with a Marlene Dietrich look-alike while we’re both high on opium derivatives.

I’d love to go back to the 1950s since I’ve always been fascinated by that period. I’d just have to remember to bring my Ventolin with me.
