Official Video game actors confirm strike action over AI

Video game workers who are members of SAG-AFTRA, the labour union for American actors, have called for strike action, which will begin tomorrow, July 26.

The strike was called after the union failed to negotiate acceptable protections around the use of AI for its members, it said.

Last September SAG-AFTRA members approved strike action if the union was unable to get terms it considered acceptable while negotiating the Interactive Media Agreement.

Huh, I thought this'd happen before with video games considering it affected the Hollywid and showbiz industry already, welp I hope good things from this, don't mind the delays as long as the writers and actors get their voices spoken outloud

Well a good thing is that GTA 6 was the main worry here and thankfully that's not the case here which is a surprise considering how vocal Rockstar's video game actors can be

Good initiation, its insane how there some clips online of AI imitation of voice actors, I ll always prefer the real thing, hope this strike goes well
