Official Unity Is Cancelling Its Runtime Fee

Thanks for wasting everyone’s time, damaging your credibility with developers, and putting studios in tough situations over something that should never have been a problem to begin with.
 
The good news is that Unity is finally showing some common sense on this issue. They must have known it was always going to be a problem for them.
 
So they announce something nobody wants, act surprised when it gets rejected, lay off thousands of people, and then ditch the very thing that caused the backlash. Real business genius at work.
