I always seem to avoid the fight because I feel like engaging with him is not a good idea. I also dont know the corrects strategy to defeat him. Useful tips would be appreciated

You can avoid the swipe by getting far enough to the other side. She always swipes with the hand with the weakspot.
The damage to weakspots appears to have a cap for each one, and its shared. After the cap is reached it transitions to the next one.
When she spawns elites and flyers, you need to take them down fast, as she will keep damaging the stage until they are all gone.
She will mark a person with the red pillar/finger and slam the section they are in when it expires. Each stage can take 3 slams before its destroyed for the rest of the fight, so rotate it.
