News Posting Guidelines:
- Relevant Content: Only post news that is relevant to the forum's focus areas (e.g., gaming, technology, entertainment). Off-topic news may be moved or deleted.
- Reliable Sources: All news posts should be sourced from reliable and credible outlets. Provide links to original articles or official announcements.
- Original Titles: Use clear and original titles for news threads. Avoid sensationalism or clickbait.
- Fact-Checking: Ensure that the news is fact-checked and accurate before posting. Avoid spreading rumors or unverified information.
- Credit Sources: Always credit the source of the news in your post. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
- Appropriate Tags & Prefixes: Make sure to tag the relevant game, developer, or studio tags when making a thread. The option is once you click "More Options".
- Prefixes: Use Appropriate prefixes.
- Official: When the news sources are from Official outlets.
- Trailers: When posting about the trailer (the trailer link is a must).
- Interviews: When the cited news is from an interview.
- Leaks / Rumors: News from third-party sources. A leak or rumor flair is used based on how much evidence is present.
- Discussion: Any news that doesnt fit the above criteria like comments of developers from Twitter or any kind of AMA can be discussion posts.
Discussion Etiquette:
- Respectful Debates: Engage in respectful discussions and debates. Personal attacks, insults, or trolling will not be tolerated.
- Stay On-Topic: Keep discussions focused on the news topic at hand. Off-topic comments may be removed.
- No Spamming: Do not post repetitive news or flood the channel with multiple similar articles.
- Citing Information: When discussing details, especially statistics or quotes, provide sources or evidence to support your statements.
Moderation and Reporting:
- Flag Inappropriate Content: If you see any news post or comment that violates these rules, report it to the moderators.
- Moderator Discretion: Moderators have the final say in enforcing rules and may take action as needed to maintain the integrity of the channel.
Formatting and Presentation:
- Clear Formatting: Use clear and readable formatting for your news posts. Break up large texts with paragraphs and use bullet points or headings where appropriate.
- Images and Media: If using images or videos, ensure they are relevant, properly credited, and not too large to avoid slowing down page load times.
