KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust have unveiled the latest instalment in the fan-favourite Atelier series, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. An action-packed trailer was released to celebrate the announcement, giving fans their first glimpse of the story, characters, and gameplay awaiting them in this new magical JRPG adventure.

Wow, look at that!
A game from a pretty niche JRPG series, and it’s never looked better

It seems like the success of the Ryza spin-off has led to more funding for this latest installment.
 
It's real time, but it looks pretty different from Ryza's combat.

If anything it kind of resembles Xenoblade's combat, imo.

I didn't see any basic attacks in the short clip we have, just an active skill for each button (limited by cooldowns) which change to items when you hit R1, and running around in combat to attack the enemy's side
