Official Netflix’s BioShock Film Still In Development But With A Reduced Budget

Per Variety, Netflix’s BioShock film has seen a budget reduction, revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.

Speaking on a panel at Comic-Con, producer Roy Lee reveals that the budget has been “reconfigured” to make the story a “more personal” film.

“The new regime has lowered the budgets,” Lee said. “So we’re doing a much smaller version. … It will be a more personal point of view than a grander, big project,” director Francis Lawrence is still planning to shoot the film.
