Movie Based Games That Turned Out To Be Really Good?

Movies based on games used to be often trash, but there was an era where publishers used to aggressively make games based on movies which often sucked, too, caz of low budget. But sometimes there were also some hidden gens between them too. So which video games based on movies that you actually liked?

The Thing game takes place right after the movie and is considered a genuine continuation of the story, according to John Carpenter. It’s a solid follow-up to the film.

Over the Hedge on the PS2 might seem like an odd choice, but I remember it being a lot of fun when I was a kid. I might get laughed out of the sub for this one, though!

The Warriors by Rockstar isn’t just based on the movie; it actually enhances it by adding lore and additional context.

Hercules on ps1. I enjoyed it as a kid and still jump on it every so often on emulator. Great music and good gameplay, I've always enjoyed platformers.

Starwars Battlefront II (2005), loosely based on Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.

Gameplay was amazing for it’s time, and the campaign was really awesome

One of my favorites was The Incredibles ps2

It's gameplay was similar to Marvel Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends

Mad Max

Not directly based on the movie but sort of it's own universe. But it's a good game and always on sale.

Guardians of the Galaxy. Honestly, some of the most enjoyable gameplay mixed with a great story and character dialogue. A must-play.

Mad Max ties into the films perfectly, right before Fury Road kicks in. It’s also sold at a bargain price and offers surprisingly great open-world gameplay, a solid single-player story, and plenty of vehicle and combat customizations—features you often don't find in AAA games at that price.
