  • Over the past few weeks, many King employees had switched their LinkedIn profiles from King to Blizzard.
  • We can reveal that Microsoft and Activision have formed a new smaller team within Blizzard comprised of King and various other employees to work on "AA" games, based on existing Blizzard franchises like Overwatch, Warcraft, StarCraft, and beyond.
  • Microsoft is keen to leverage its huge back catalog of franchises it acquired with its Activision-Blizzard purchase of previous years.

Finally they are startng toget it. NOT everygame has to be a blockbuster to have good sales. And this good for the indusrty and Xbox as well. But then again they just shut down Tango so I am still skeptical about this

Would love them to expand WoW and Diablo into new genres. A metroidvania, RPG, turn-based strategy etc.

Sounds cool. Getting a Lost Vikings game or something as a smaller experience or a StarCraft spinoff. Maybe they'll even just focus on one character from Overwatch and give them a single player game.

Its been forever since weve seen anything new for Starcraft. Making smaller and more focused games could really revive the franchise in my opinion
