Hi all folks. After 25 years, 11 of which beautifully spent working with Nintendo on Mario+Rabbids along the company of our incredible community of players, I have decided to leave Ubisoft to embark on a new adventure. I can't say more now. Thanks a lot for everything, truly

I think this decision might have been influenced by Ubisoft's refusal to make more Mario + Rabbids games after they expressed disappointment with how Sparks of Hope performed.

That wasnt his fault though??

They released it near Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon. Two fo Nintendo's biggest IPs. Time your releases right. Dont hate the creator hate the publishers

The Mario + Rabbids games were really fun, and I even wanted to complete them 100%. They were the only Ubisoft games I’ve actually wanted to buy in a long time.

David Soliani's departure from Ubisoft is a big deal. He had a huge influence on Mario+Rabbids so it'll be interesting to see how his departure affects the franchise's future.
