How To Record Gameplay For YouTube

So I just got a new PC and want to start my own YouTube channel. Does anyone here have any tips about how to start recording? Perhaps any good video-recording software? Thanks in advance!

OBS is hands down the best for Video recording and its completely free. The best thing about this software that i really like is that you can tune the sound from other apps as well and decrease or increase their volume. If you ever plan on adding a webcam, OBS has settings for that too and you can add a webcam footage to your recording as well.

Yeah, OBS is the best but I would recommend some settings so that you don't loose your PC's performance while recording.

1. In the OBS main screen go to File and find settings
2. Go to Output and find Streaming section
3. Make sure that the Video Encoder is selected to Hardware, in my case I am using a Nvidia Graphics card and it has the NVENC encoder
4. Click on apply and the Ok

I don't know if its the same encoder for AMD cards
