“I can confirm GTA VI is exempt,” a spokesperson for the the publishers involved in the dispute—which includes Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two—told Kotaku in an email.



According to the spokesperson, Audrey Cooling, any game already in development before September 2023 is also exempt.

Of all the companies I expected to not be on the list Take Two wasnt one of them .

Good for them that they avoided any trouble by compensations or whatever

They are gonna quadruple whatever they pay with just one hour sales

Please read this before making comments. Take Two arent the good guys suddenly. Its just that their games didnt started development just now. They wouldve been pretty high on the list if it wasnt for this rule.

And honestly it looks like a loophole to me for alot of devs
