Black Myth: Wukong has already gone gold, as the game is set to release on August 20. So far, the action RPG has received a positive reception from the fandom, and it seems like we may have a GOTY contender on our hands.

To cater to a larger audience, the developers used a different approach than your average Souls-like. According to the team, the action RPG is more like God of War than any Souls-like, and quite fittingly, David Jaffe seems to be a fan.

Now that the final trailer has been released, the creator of God of War has showered the footage with compliments.

While I have respect for Jaffe on creating the of GOW titles, the man's a toxic cesspool when it comes to opinions or statements of anything online, but hey kudos to anyone that blantatly worships this guy

Well good for them that the game has the feels of those titles but srsly I have respect for David Jaffe, the guy heavily mocked the recent titles and called Kratos a softie, guy is off his rocker man
 
Well the game does sound fitting and reminiscent of the old GOW titles, hardcore, action heavy and linear from most footage, no wonder he ll have praise for it lol
