There are many that come to mind, such as Bioshock Infinite and Last of Us. Video Games that everyone talked about at release or were really good but as time went on your feelings changed about it.
The first Deus Ex on PC is still a great game if you're willing to learn, but the controls are abysmal. It was an experimental time for PC controls, and this game takes the cake for being clunky and slow.
Atari 2600 games didn’t hold up as well as I remembered. After reading Ready Player One, I revisited them, and though I had sunk hours into them as a kid, they weren’t great.
Heavenly Sword doesn't look or play as well as it did when it was new. However, Andy Serkis' performance still holds up magnificently and is the real reason to play the game. I’d still recommend it to anyone with a PS3 for that reason.
Far Cry 2 was amazing when it first came out, with a setting and bleakness I loved. I'd be thrilled if it got a remake.
Every few years, I think about replaying it, but the game's aged poorly. Bullet sponge enemies, the frustrating malaria mechanic, and constantly respawning guard posts ruin the experience. Plus, the left-sided ejection ports on guns break immersion.
Ocarina of Time is still one of the best games ever made. It was groundbreaking for its time, but playing it now is rough. Z targeting is imprecise and camera controls are clunky. It was top-notch back then, but gaming has come a long way. Trying to play it today is tough, though I still respect its legacy.
