Official Freedom Wars Remastered Announced For Modern Platforms

The PlayStation Vita cult hit is being remastered and will be released on January 10 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The remastered version of the game will include 4K resolution, upgraded textures, and 60 FPS on PC and PlayStation systems, according to a press release.

Wow, this is a win. Definitely a unique Vita game that I feared was always gonna be trapped on that system and nothing else. Interesting that Bandai Namco is publishing the remaster, since I believe the original was Sony-published. Good news, overall, though.

All those Monster Hunter Clones are fun with how they change things up. I haven't played this one though, so I'm not sure exactly how it controls.

You've got to be kidding me. Freedom Wars was one of the first games I played on Vita, and has stuck with me since. I never thought I'd see anything about it again, so this is quite the surprise. I'd certainly be tempted to pick it up; I remember having a ton of fun with it at the time.
