Visage is hands down my favorite horror game of all time. It completely set the bar so high that no other game in the genre compares anymore.

The 7.2 surround sound had me glancing nervously around my living room lmaoo

Amnesia The Dark Descent
U wont regret it, but hey the games popular as hell, I think u may already know about it OP

Ayooo finally my time to shine, I love all things horror so heres my top 5 horror games of all time, and I think they re all perfect for ur marathon

  1. Silent Hill 2
  2. Dead Space (remake or OG, ur choice)
  3. Silent Hill 3
  4. Fatal Frame
  5. Alien Isolation (Fuck IGN and the haters)

GTFO is absolutely terrifying. It mixes every type of horror u can think of and triggers all ur phobias, including some you didn’t even know you had. It’s just superbly done. Plus, it’s really challenging, which I think is crucial if ur playing with friends.

Games that are meant to be scary but have easy gameplay just don’t do it for me

It might not be the scariest game out there, but I’ve never experienced anxiety and unease like I did with *At Dead of Night*.
Maybe the FMV aspect adds to the realism, which makes it even more unsettling? idk but that shit had me up for a night thinking about it

The scariest game I've played is Alan Wake II, and while it's pretty mild, I just can't handle the intense anxiety from really terrifying games.

I ve played 3 times annually with my friends and family but both Outlast 1 and the Blair WEitch game despite the latter being junk are pretty good to play on Halloween or close to it
The Mortuary Assistant scared the crap out of me, u ve prob seen YTbers playing this, especially XQC lmao
Defo check this out for ur marathon
Can confirm Mortuary Assistant is a must play, its short af too

Subnautica, specifically the first one
I'm terrified of deep water/open nothingness, so that game was pretty insane for me

Until Dawn set a really high standard for me. Permadeath? Got it. Motion sensing? Yep. Personalized scares? Absolutely.

Cultured as hell JEEZ
Fatal Frame is goated man, didn't enjoy the newer games but the first two Fatal Frame games had an atmosphere of their own for the time!

When Phasmophobia was first released, it was genuinely terrifying. I still remember the unsettling dread I felt walking into one of those houses for the first time, not knowing what to expect.
The anticipation alone was horrifying

These days, though, it just doesn't hit the same way but yea still an awesome choice for a Halloween game

PT.. it'll forever be my GOAT horror game even tho its a lost demo now unless u have a jailbroken PS4

PT is short and sweet but the atmosphere is masterfully crafted to be terrifying without being in your face about it- it evokes a similar feeling you get watching a good horror movie, no doubt because of Guillermo Del Toro's involvement in its development.

+1
Mortuary assistant works well because its always unpredictable, so you have a constant sense of being on edge, making the jumps more effective than other games (in my opinion).

Soma is hands down the creepiest game I’ve ever played.

There were times when I was genuinely stressed out trying to avoid some of the monsters, and the game’s atmosphere felt really oppressive at times. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like it.

Amnesia The Dark Descent

Ohhh man, OP this game is buttfuckingly terrifying
No weapons. you use oil to power your lantern and darkness makes you lose sanity which makes your vision gets blurry

you get chased by monsters. all you can do is hide until they leave. 😫

To me, it’s a mix of P.T. and Silent Hill 4: The Room. Those games sometimes felt less like just games and more like you were interacting with something cursed that you really shouldn’t be playing.

Hello Charlotte, it wasn’t super scary, but I was in tears by the end of episode 2. I felt this intense existential dread when it finished.
Great game, though
