Destiny 2 error code Weasel

Cant even log into the game, just bought Final Shape and booted up the game after roughly 2 years, don't remember running into this issue before
So far I've tried restarting my internet, PC and even making sure I verified the files, does anyone know what else I can try to resolve this plz?

This one's a netwrok related thing, either that or the servers but ig its the former since the servers are fine
U might try using a static IP address like either cloudfare or google DNS, I'm using the latter, might help you login into the game and maybe give you an open nat status too

Can confirm, the cloudfare DNS helps alot, helped me in Black Ops 3 back in the day and even recently helped me this year with Modern Warfare 3
Pretty easy to setup in your network and sharing centre settings too if ya follow this video

Well idk if you know about Destiny 2's error codes history but Weasel is the default connection timeout error code. Just suppose you have repeated/prolonged packet loss. In that case, if your internet lags or disconnects in any way for more than a second if anything interferes with the bandwidth quality between you and the game, Bungie's strict connectivity policies will weasel you.

Anyways for the fix, I either suggest looking into your nat type under the gameplay section and checking if its open or not, other solutions u can try is doing a reset of your router and refresh it by fully unplugging it for a full minute or so and then turning it back

U should also look into clearing the download cache off of steam and any other temporary cache files from Steam
