Destiny 2 Episode Echoes Act 1, 2 & 3 [Discussion Thread + Thoughts]

Making this thread for all the Destiny 2 players here, wanted to know everyone's thoughts on the new episode model for the game and more importantly, Episode Echoes so far, at least Act 1

We'll continue to discuss Act 2 and 3 when they drop here but so far since Act 1 is wrapped up atm and the devs have said new act stories will be available immediate instead of waiting each, what do you think of the story so far? Are you excited for what's next?

Not really anything about the narrative but for the love of God CAN THEY FIRE THE ARMOR DESIGNERS AND MAKE ACTUAL DRIP WORTHY ARMOR?!

Really love the game, and its great to see Failsafe back with her corny and lively sense of humor and dialogue but this literally just a Season renamed, with the same tedious cadence, Im playing other games these days tho, juts logging in weekly to do raids and dungeons ig

Sums up my reaction to the weekly cycle of these 'episodes' so far
Only enjoyed the initial few stuff and the TFS content, aside from that, nuh uh

Really love the game, and its great to see Failsafe back with her corny and lively sense of humor and dialogue but this literally just a Season renamed, with the same tedious cadence, Im playing other games these days tho, juts logging in weekly to do raids and dungeons ig

Finally some1 else said it too, the armor design team has been hit or miss lately dawg, for crying out loud the SEASONAL PASS ARMOR IS BETTER THAN THE GAMES PINNACLE ENDGAME ACTIVITY (RAID)

Understandly so, Im literally i nthe same boat as you, my incentives to complete these has nosedived, I'm just playing some pvp in elden ring these days or my other backlogged games lol

The final shape expansion content felt more fun to me, Like id rather just run Salvations Edge on LFG or with my clanmates than do runs of Enigma or Breach Executable, it gets so repetitive once you get ur wanted red border weapons

This unique version of the cistern should ve been in the patrol version too of the planet, not just the planet, its just soo cool!

I dont play Destiny but one of my friends in my circle was talking about it, he only did like the first few weeks of the seasonal stuff or this episode, ig not much incentive for him to play? idk

Update:

Yeah chief ngl, Act 2, nothing special but the new battlegrounds are sick with their environments
Aside from that, I don't really feel too attached with the game now lol
