While covering the news of Firewalk Studios shutdown, Kotaku added that according to two of its sources, “the initial development deal for the game was just over $200 million.”
That’s what the budget allegedly was when Sony was first looking into Concord, and decided to partner with Firewalk back in 2021. The report goes on to clarify that the $200 million would not be enough to cover the game’s total development costs, marketing, and the official acquisition of Firewalk back in 2023.
