Coal Generator Not Taking Coal in Satisfactory?

The official workaround is is opening and closing the generator with coal in your inventory after reloading your savegame. Then just leave the generators be and it should work.

Its a known issue. Maybe they will roll a patch soon but this ^ is what you can use for now
