According to a LinkedIn post about a character designer at Santa Monica Studios, the studio is confirmed to be working on a brand-new IP instead of s third entry to the modern God of War saga with Kratos and Atreus. This confirms the existence of no new GOW game and the studio is looking to do fresh things again.

I think this is either that rumored sci fi IP but I'm hoping they reveal this by next year since its been in development for a long time now I believe
